Reoccurring Series

As my articles – and Magic itself – covers a wide range, I feel it is worthwhile for readers to have a way of understanding just what types of articles are available for your reading.

Over time more categories will appear, but for now these are the main series you’ll find in this blog.

‘Analysis Of’

These articles are predominantly made with each spoiler season: each day of spoiler season seems to show at least one new legendary creature, and so these articles are meant to examine one of said legends and see how it might be built. I predominantly look to see what builds these new legends could helm as commanders, but I’ll also include examples on what existing commanders or builds might like the featured legend in their 99.

Top Art + Flavor Text

At the end of Zendikar Rising’s spoiler season, I was trying to figure out cards had the art I loved the most, and what some of the best flavor text was. Once I remembered I was hosting this blog, I realized I might as well actually cover such a topic on here.

At the end of each spoiler season, I look over what I consider to have been the art and flavor text to have been the most impactful to myself: while others might have different opinions on what cards should or should not have made the list, all the same I hope these articles help readers and players appreciate the cards not just for their power or flexibility, but also for the flavor that they’re wrapped in.

Commander Archetypes 101

These articles are meant to serve as rudimentary primers for the numerous archetypes found in Commander. Not only is it meant to help give coverage both to well-known and more-obscure archetypes, but the articles are also meant to help show a variety of ways each archetype can play out to help show how a strategy can be approached from different directions (or in different colors).
